Marisela started out working in retail and leasing, but always felt it was necessary to make processes known and consistent for colleagues.

Marisela believes in sharing her knowledge with others, which is something her children know all too well. Marisela has a stepdaughter that she helped raise and two creative, young children of her own. She also has two dogs and one cat that keep her company every day.

Virtual Work Lifestyle

Marisela spends a large amount of time with her kids and that is a big reason why the virtual work lifestyle makes sense for her. Her children were literally both sitting five feet behind her while she typed these page facts. Her favorite holiday is Halloween because the family often dresses up as characters from the same movie.

Establishing a New Normal

Marisela’s path to become a Virtual Assistant began after divorce and she was starting to rebuild her life. Marisela felt the need to look for a change in employment every few years, a change of profession and duties and she wasn’t sure why until one day, while making extra cash with delivery driving, it dawned on her. Driving, picking up orders and delivering them was giving her a chance to move, see people and new places all the time.

 She was very skilled and had a college education, but never felt right working in one location forever. Now she was in charge of her schedule and could work around anything her children or pets needed. Over time she realized how happy she could be with being a virtual assistant for other busy business owners because she could do that work from home or remotely. She would stay satisfied with her work and get to please her clients, as well!
